Throughout the production of Dirty Dancing, the writer-producer had been searching for a new song to play over her movie’s climactic last scene. Though she had already handpicked the entire 1960s soundtrack, for the final song, Bergstein wanted something that echoed the era while still sounding contemporary to the ’80s. So, each night, after long days of shooting in North Carolina, she gathered her exhausted team—director Emile Ardolino, choreographer Kenny Ortega, and stars Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey—onto couches and popped in recently submitted demos. “We didn’t like anything,” she says. “They were terrible songs … it was like listening to a drink of water.”

The fourth track on the Grease Original Soundtrack made for the 1978 film adaptation of the 1971 musical, performed by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as their characters. “You’re The One That I Want” is played near the end of the film, just after Sandy showed up at the carnival with a new makeover and attitude that managed to get Danny to notice her and not feel ashamed of being with her.

Evita: Madonna - Don't Cry For Me Argentina
This is the best-known song from the 1978 musical Evita, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. The show tells the story of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentinean president Juan Perón. This song appears early in the second act as Evita addresses the crowd from the balcony of the Casa Rosada.
Tim Rice's original inspiration for writing a musical about Eva Perón arose from listening to a BBC Radio 4 programme about the Argentine First Lady.
Both Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd-Webber recognized the potential of this song but Rice thought the lyric might be too obscure for a pop single. He did rework it as "It's Only Your Lover Returning," before the duo decided they still preferred "Don't Cry For Me Argentina."

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Nightmare Before Christmas originated in a poem written by Tim Burton in 1982, while he was working as a Disney animator. With the success of Vincent in the same year, Disney started to consider developing The Nightmare Before Christmas as either a short film or 30-minute television special. Over the years, Burton's thoughts regularly returned to the project, and in 1990, Burton and Disney made a development deal. Production started in July 1991 in San Francisco.
Walt Disney Studios initially released the film through Touchstone Pictures because the studio believed the film would be "too dark and scary for kids". This happened in the original 1993 release only, as Walt Disney Pictures owned the movie since its 3D reissue.
